About Vivobarefoot

 

Vivobarefoot was founded by two cousins, Galahad and Asher Clark, from the Clarke shoe family.  Shoe making is in their blood, but somewhere in their travels, they realised that the best thing for people’s feet, bodies, and the planet was to go barefoot; and that most modern footwear limits the natural strength and movement of the foot.   Vivobarefoot’s minimalist shoes are as close as possible to barefoot and allow you to feel the ground beneath your feet.  Vivobarefoot believe that this reconnection of people and planet will help people to come back to their natural senses to build a sustainable future.

 

The Role

 

Vivobarefoot is a small purpose-driven brand with a powerful message and needs a strong Head of PR to bring that message to the world. 

 

We have an ambition to build a strong organic VIP community, building our credibility & cool with the right people who tell everybody about their love of the barefoot life.

 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Head of PR to come in at a relatively early stage to help build a brand with big impact.

 

The Head of PR will be responsible for building brand equity to a broad VIP community of influencers, press, business partners, scientists, coaches, friends and family; and ensuring they go on to share with their network of our target customers.  Initial focus on UK & US markets and there will be significant travel between the two countries.

 

We are looking for a PR pirate - an opinion former in any of the health, wellness, sustainability, design spaces with a cool, unconventiional, modern digital mindset. 

 

Key Tasks

 

=       Work with the Marketing Director and CEO to develop the Vivobarefoot PR & influencer strategy

=       Responsibility for the delivery of the strategy – identification of targets, relationship management & subsequent exposure

=       Campaign ideation to drive ongoing exposure of core messages

=       Building profiles of internal ambassadors as part of our VIP community – speaker events, press commentary, etc

=       Management of the PR team (to be agreed as part of strategy development), ownership of PR budget, Twitter & Linkedin social channels

=       Work cross functionality to ensure all marketing, commercial and product objectives are aligned and optimised.

 

Package:

 

£70k per year plus benefits including: Pension, health care, 25 days holiday.

 

Essential Experience

 

=       Extensive experience in PR, influencer, comms, VIP management.  An awareness of best practice and an ability to draw from multiple areas to deliver innovative solutions.

=       The candidate must have a strong vision to build brand via PR & influencers combined with a practical ability to execute with detail.

=       Strong communication skills; an ability to build relationships with empathy to deliver business results

=       Demonstrated experience bring new ideas and solutions to the businesses they have worked for to drive the ongoing coverage within PR & influencer space.

=       Strong understanding of both the UK & US markets.

=       Strong existing VIP relationships in the fields that sit at the core of our brand; barefoot science, sustainability, well-being, reconnection with nature, simple living

=       Ability to manage a team effectively, good budget management, good project management.

=       Understanding of what it takes to build internal ambassadors to drive brand equity.
