Role Overview:

 VivoBarefoot is a global, fast growing, and fast-paced digital brand looking for ambitious people to help accelerate our growth. Our technology needs are expanding as we embark on an ambitious roadmap to upgrade and exploit the core systems that power our business from our ecommerce platform to ERP systems. We are looking for a talented technical project manager to help deliver cross functional technology projects, working across teams and with external agencies to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.  This role is key to our digital transformation and will give the right candidate a unique opportunity to work across a range of exciting projects across operations, ecommerce, merchandising, and physical retail. The technical project manager will also have responsibility for IT support and infrastructure, and will have the opportunity to recruit and hire an IT support manager who will coordinate internal hardware/ software needs, manage external IT support agencies, security and compliance.

 

This role will report into the Head of Omnichannel.

 

Person profile and skills:

  • Assess and develop business technology need and goals
  • Working across teams, manage strategic technology projects to ensure business goals are met, and projects are delivered accurately, on time, and on budget
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and external agencies, during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Map existing processes and workflows and capture precise project requirements
  • Monitor project progress continuously and clearly communicate progress to key stakeholders
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Analyse economics of project plans and provide business cases to assess return on investment of technology project
  • Oversee acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and external parties and negotiating price and payment agreements with vendors
  • Responsible for working with all levels of the business and the development teams to drive system and solution design
  • Assist in the development of technical specs for cross-functional projects
  • Ability to discuss and fundamentally understand business problems and speak to the business about technical designs and functionality
  • Manage IT Support function which includes internal hardware and software needs, fixed line phones,

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the technology field 
  • Extensive leadership experience and experience working cross functionality or in matrixed organisations
  • Experience leading technology transformation projects preferably within retail industry
  • Bonus for experience working with implementation of ERP systems and/or ecommerce systems including CMS, OMS, CRM tools
  • Experience designing and implementing User Acceptance Testing scenarios
  • Certification in a leading project management methodology, e.g. Prince2, Agile, Six Sigma
